Long Load Times With Ark Mods

A lot of people have complained that it takes a long time to load into Ark servers with mods.  The issue seems to be more one of hardware than network issues.

With an SSD you can log into a sever with ten or more mods in 30 seconds.  With a mechanical hard drive it will take longer as you need to load the extra data.

I'm convinced computers will eventually come with only SSD hard drives, but until then people with mechanical hard dives may have to wait a few minutes to log in.

How To Tame A Titanosaur (from the devs)

- Cannon balls to the head are the best way to apply torpor. Rockets and catapults with boulders also work. Be careful with how much damage you do, only aim for the head.

- The Titano makes a specific animation (and sound) when hit in the head AND torpor is applied, you will know it when you see it. It is different from the default 'hurt' animation.

- You cannot under any circumstances trap a Titano for the purposes of taming. It will stop taking torpor damage if you attempt to exploit it by getting it stuck.

- As mentioned about the Titano must travel or it will stop taking torpor, so kite it for a bit and then try hitting it in the head again. We tested this very thoroughly, no cheaty tame for this big dino.

- At least two people on a few cannons in K mode (so you can see where you're aiming) and one person flying a quetzal was our method of taming during testing. Have the cannons point out the back and fly in front of it in a straight line (it'll run away eventually, but just reset and go again).

- I also recommend having another tribe mate with a magnifying glass handy to watch the torpor, so you know when exactly it stops taking torpor. Mind the feet, don't get trampled!

Wooly Rhino

• Wild: Coelodonta utiliserro is a friendly herbivore, common to the tundra and grassland regions of the island. It is a large and dangerous creature, though it seems fairly trusting of the fauna around it. Once attacked, Coelodonta charges towards its foe. It builds up momentum as it charges, and depending on its ultimate impact speed, the results can be terrifying. With enough room to charge, it can even skewer the largest creatures in just one single gore!
• Domesticated: When not being hunted for its horns, Coelodonta makes an excellent beast of burden. Its ability to take on far larger opponents provided sufficient charging room, as well as its sizable load capacity, make it a solid addition to any trader party or gathering expedition.
• Known Information: Despite how powerful Coelodonta are, many tribes still hunt them extensively due to their unique resources. Its horns can be ground into a highly arousing powder, and its thick fur can support many insulating outfits, making the Coelodonta much in demand. Even less advanced tribes use packs to hunt them down, though at significant peril.

Dunkleosteus

• Wild: Dunkleosteus Loricaruptor is a very strange creature. It is a fairly large fish, covered head to tail in armored plates, with incredibly powerful jaws. It tends to eat the islands' water-dwelling crustaceans, as it is not fast enough to catch most of the smaller fish.
• Domesticated: Dunkleosteus is an incredibly useful fish for coastal communities. Its powerful jaws make short work of the stone and oil formations found throughout the oceanic depths. While harvesting,Dunkleosteus can handily defend its rider from all but the largest threats in the waters. And once past its prime, the Dunkleosteus can be harvested for a fair amount of Chitin.
• Known Information: Dunkleosteus is surprisingly combat-oriented for a fish. Its well-armored body protects it from many creatures, while its bite is strong enough to easily crush through chitinous shells.

Eurypterid

• Wild: Found only in the deepest depths of the waters around the island,Eurypterids are dangerous and adaptable Arthropods. As likely to hunt as they are to scavenge, a Eurypterid rarely has difficulty finding food to keep itself nourished, even at the bottom of the ocean.
• Domesticated: While Eurypterid are not intelligent enough to be tamed, this doesn't mean they are without utility for tribes. They are a wonderful source of Chitin, and their digestive tract often contain Silica Pearls. They sometimes even have incredibly rare Black Pearls used for manufacturing mysterious technologies, making them among the most valuable creatures on the island.
• Known Information: A Eurypterid’s threat does comes not directly from its raw strength. Instead, it combines a hard defensive exoskeleton with debilitating poison to powerful effect. The sting of a Eurypterid increases torpor while reducing stamina, quickly rendering its opponent unable to defend itself.
